My convicts ancestors and other family connections

I have 17 direct line convict ancestors and numerous other convict connections:

On my maternal side there is:

Alexander McKay 1823 Sir Godfrey Webster – his cousin George Ferguson was transported in 1820 (convict record)

James Foster 1842 Isabella – he had 3 brothers who were also transported Daniel (convict record) in 1844, William in 1842 (convict records) and Charles who died on prison hulk York on 25 Dec 1841.

John Bailey 1827 Governor Ready – numerous others were transported as members of the Aldington Gang of Smugglers – George Ransley was married to Elizabeth Bailey, Samuel Bailey, Richard Higgins was married to Rhoda Bailey. Elizabeth, Samuel & Rhoda were siblings. John Bailey was their uncle. (Smugglers)
